Rwyf wedi gweithio yn y Blynyddoedd Cynnar ers dros 40 mlynedd, mae hyn yn cynnwys dros 20 mlynedd mewn uned Feithrin Gymraeg brysur mewn Ysgol Gynradd. Rwyf bellach yn rheoli Cwmni Hyfforddi Cam wrth Gam, Mudiad Meithrin sy'n darparu nifer o Gyrsiau Gofal Plant cyfrwng Cymraeg ar Lefel 1, 2, 3, 4 a 5 ar draws Cymru. Wrth astudio gradd BA Addysg Blynyddoedd Cynnar cefais fy ysbrydoli cymaint gan un modiwl nes i mi benderfynu hyfforddi fel Hwylusydd a Hyfforddwr gyda ‘Learning through andscapes’. Rhoddodd hyn ddealltwriaeth ddyfnach i mi o bwysigrwydd yr awyr agored i chwarae a dysgu plant.
Cefais fy magu ar fferm ac rwy'n parhau i fyw yn y diwydiant ffermio mewn rhan hyfryd o Orllewin Cymru. Treuliais fy mhlentyndod yn yr awyr agored drwy'r dydd, mae cyffro, hwyl a chwilfrydedd yn dri gair sy'n disgrifio'r adeg honno. Rwy'n credu mai fy hoff amser oedd gwneud cacennau mwd a dod o hyd i bob math o adnoddau naturiol i'w defnyddio fel bwyd yn fy Nhŷ bach Twt a chwilota am fadfallod a phenbyliaid yn y nant fechan.
Rwyf mor gyffrous i fod yn rhan o dîm sy'n cyflwyno'r cwrs newydd Bod y tu allan ac rwyf am i'r dysgwyr deimlo mor ysbrydoledig ag oeddwn i/rwyf i am unigrywiaeth yr awyr agored.
I have worked in the Early Years for over 40 years, this includes over 20 years in a busy Welsh Medium Nursery unit within a Primary School. I now mange a National Training Company that delivers numerous Welsh medium Childcare Courses at Level 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 the pan of Wales. Whilst undergoing my BA Early Years Education degree I was so inspired by one module that I decided to train as a Facilitator and Trainer with Learning Through Landscape. This gave me a deeper understanding of the importance of the outdoors to children’s play and learning.
I was bought up on a farm and continue to live in the farming industry in a beautiful part of West Wales. Life growing up was spent outdoors all day, excitement, fun and curiosity are three words that describe that time. I think my favourite moments were making mud pies and finding all sorts of natural resources to use as food in my Ty Bach Twt and rummaging for newts and tadpoles in the narrow stream.
I’m so excited to be part of a team delivering the new Bod y tu allan course and want the participants will feel as inspired as I was/am about the uniqueness of the outdoors.
