Liz Edwards is also the founder and director of Muddy Faces a forest school, outdoor play and learning resourse provider.
Liz launched Muddy Faces In 2007, with the aim of creating a resource that would support and enable many different types of groups and individuals to access quality outdoor provision - a one-stop-online-shop for all the outdoor play & learning resources a Forest School leader or outdoor practitioner could need.
The Muddy Faces Outdoor Hub is a massive FREE resource filled with activities, information and events to support you to get outdoors. Connecting to the elements, nature and each other has incredible positive health and wellbeing benefits.
Liz Edwards has been involved in Forest Schools for over two decades. She became a Forest School practitioner in 2001 and went on to set up a Forest School training company, enjoying supporting many people to become Forest School leaders.
Prior to becoming involved in Forest school, Liz worked as an environmental educator for the Peak District National Park, and as an outdoor pursuits instructor (SpSA climbing instructor and Mltb Mountain Leader), both in the UK and abroad.
She has also had roles as a youth development worker for the Prince’s Trust, and as a mountain leader for youth development charity Raleigh International, and other expedition organisations working in Namibia, Chile, Montana, Moroco & the UK. with personal expeditions to nepal, equador, N America and Europe.
